Heating with Pellets - A Carbon Neutral Fuel
Pellets for heating are made by compressing wood shavings and sawdust from untreated wood. An enormous amount of wood waste is produced everyday in the wood processing industries, which is sustainably repurposed. The amount of CO2 emitted during the combustion of the wood pellets is balanced out by the amount of CO2 absorbed by the trees while growing the wood used for the biomass fuel. This balance is outstanding compared to fossil fuels like oil or gas.
Advantages of using pellets for heating:
Crisis-resistant local fuel
Short transport routes
Easy refill of the wood pellet storage with pellet bags or pellet fuel trucks
Dust-free and odourless refilling
Low place requirements for the storage
Efficient and Eco-friendly pellet boilers
Compared to fossil fuel, electricity, or heat pumps, using wood chips or pellets for heating is the best choice.
